opening a program maximized

How can i get my programs to automatically open maximized. There is a
similarr post but the answer requires opening the control panel and clicking
on "display". I can't seem to find the "Dispay" name in the list.

right click the folder/shortcut you wish to open, select properties, in the
Run option select maximized.

I'd like to butt in here
I did that (right click/properties/Run maximised) and it does not wor
for me
Any other suggestions
