Opening sidebar

Hi im using windows vista for about 2 weeks and there's a probelm. When i try
to open my sidebar it says "Windows sidebar is manage by your system
administrator."
and it wont open. I am using an administrator account but y did it says
that?...

Hi TOP,

This happens if the TurnOffSidebar Policy had been applied using Group Policy Editor, or using a third-party program. For standalone systems, you may use the following REG file to restore the Sidebar functionality back.

http://www.winhelponline.com/fixes/sidebar_enable.reg

Download and save the file to Desktop. Right-click the file and choose Merge.

Dear Ramesh,

could you please also tell me how I can recover my Sidebar as for the past
six months, it's gone. I have tried every single thing posted on the forums
but still couldn't recover it.

Try this, type the word sidebar into the "start search" block, right click
on "windows sidebar" click run as administrator and if it doesn't start,
retype the word sidebar, select sidebar properties, check start with windows
and close, find sidebar again and left click to start it......if that
doesn't work, I am out of ideas.
