Opening webpage in virtual pc

I have installed windows vista in vistual pc. Now when I am trying to open a
webpage in virtual pc, browser can not open webpage.

What is the reasonn for this and how can I solve this problem ?

Secondly, I opened command prompt in virtual pc and typed "ipconfig /all" ,
instead of getting all thge details about ip address I am getting the message
"windows IP configuration". Wjhy am I not getting all the details ?

Your VM doesn't have any network connectivity. You're not getting any info
from your DHCP/DNS server(s).
How is your host PC connected? Has the correct NIC been selected for the VM
(i.e. the active one on the host)? Does your network allow multiple IPs on a
single port? Do you have spare IP addresses available?
If you change the VM to Shared (NAT) instead of the host IP do you get
connectivity to the webpage.
