Opening Widows Explorer Maximised.

Over the last couple of days when I open my Internet Explorer Home Page it
opens in a
small page format instead of maximise size.
I thought that it was supposed to open in the same size as it was the last
time it was open. I always use this window maximised.

The same thing happens with my Hotmail login page.

I have tried all ways of maximising the pages, closing IE and re-opening IE
but nothing sticks.

Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing?

Set the size you want and then exit using the file menu, NOT the red X in
the upper right. Reopen and the window will remember your new setting.
Thereafter you can resume using the X.

Sometimes when you run a program (games do this a lot) that changes the
desktop resolution, some windows, like Windows Explorer, are automatically
resized (even if not open at the time) and are not resized back when the
program is closed and the preferred desktop resolution is restored.

Hi Colin - thanks for your reply. It works for my Homepage but not for my
Hotmail Login page.
I am using Windows Vista Ultimate with Internet Explorer 7.
