I have a new shared computer with vista xp. We used to be able to run
msn messenger, and windows messenger at the same time on the old one.
This would allow both of us to stay signed in at the same time. i can't
download any other versions of messenger to operate with windows live
messenger. Can anyone help with that?

Greetings,

Although there are some other schemes and third-party instant messaging applications which
support Messenger you could use, you can actually set Messenger to start multiple times to
allow what you want.

To do so, just download and run the following .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/dow...eInstances.reg

After this is imported, you don't need to restart Messenger, just click on a Live Messenger
shortcut to open up another session.

Do I create a new:
Key?
String Value?
Binary Value?
D-Word Value?
Multi-String Value?
Expandable String Value?

When I created a new key it didn't work.
