Operating system replacement

I have a Dell Dimensin E520.

I want to remove Windows Vista from my machine and install Windows XP
to replace it. How do I do this?

Did this come with Vista and 512M of memory? Something like:

First, visit Dell and see if they will downgrade you or supply the drivers.
If they will not downgrade you, but have XP drivers, find a local PC shop
and see if the will sell you XP OEM.

In any case, Vista isn't fit to run in 512M.

1. Check at Dell's website to make sure that there are XP drivers for your
model computer.
2. Ring Dell and see if they do an exchange if you are not happy with vista.
(Depending on answer, go to step 3)
3. Buy an XP disk!
4. Go into Bios, set your boot menu to boot from CD/DVD 1st.
5. Insert XP disk, reboot, load files, delete existing Vista partition,
format drive, install XP.
