Optical drives disappear after sleep

When I bring my system back from sleep mode my optical drives are not
recognized by Vista (home premium 32 bit). I have to re-boot to get
my optical drives working. I've searched on this and found a couple
of references and downloaded a couple of hot fixes but nothing has
fixed it.

Does anyone have any suggestions? This is so annoying!!!

System Specs:
e6600
asus p5wdh deluxe
ocz platinum revision 2 (2 gb)
