I've installed this version on msn , but i'm so disappointed that there's
not the option for find new contact.

Someone can help me or give me his opinion ?

Greetings,

Like the MSN Member directory, it's been dumped. I think in the future something might
replace it though...

haha, A search like myspace or skype would be great..
But the whole idea to ditch the directory was to protect peoples privacy and
things like children mixing with older people.. example msn chat? wow, that
was old :P

Hi Nathan,

A social networking type thing between Spaces and Messenger is due at some point in the near
future. If you make a Passport set in the Australian locale, you can try out some of it (as
they're exclusively testing it there). I assume that will effectively "plug" this hole in
functionality that's there.

Personally, I still think ICQ Random Chat was fun.

Oh, I've never heard of the ICQ random chat before. I like a feature on
Skype where you set your status to 'Skype Me'. This means that anyone from
around the world can just search people with this status and be called by a
random person. Just like a knock on the door. This feature I really love.
Something intergrated into Windows Live Messenger would be great.

Hi Nathan,

Yeah it is/was effectively the same as what Skype has. I think a number of issues have
stopped such things from being added to Messenger in the past -- such as possible adult
content, exposing your e-mail address (since it's your Passport), etc.

mh...i disagree in M$ to delete something before to release a new service.
Is not that they simply want move all in pay service ? It's my personal
idea ...
