I'm testing WSUS with XPsp2. GPO works fine and the Workstation rebots Fine
if the User logged on is local admin. all my users are either Power users or
member of the users group.

The gpo is set :
Configure auto update (enabled , with 4-autodownloads and schedule install.
I have the schedule set @ 10:am

the no-autorestart is set to disabled.

The ultimate goal is I need the updated downladed , installed and then the
user prompted/reminded for restart and the user is member of either user or
power users local group.

Thanks

You'll need to enable the GPO setting 'Allow non-administrators to receive
update notifications'. This should do what you want.

If you don't have this setting in your GPO - you may need to copy it from
your WSUS server's %windir%\inf folder to your DC.

Hope this helps,
Rob
