Has anyone here determined the purpose of the "Optional Beta Products"?

I always have the choice specified in my Windows XP Update, but have never
seen a single product choice listed in there.

MSN Messenger 7.0 has been in Beta for 4 months and Microsoft Anti-Spyware
for 2 months, yet neither one of them has ever appeared within Windows
Updates. So what's up with that?

What's up with that ?

Microsoft is using you as an un-paid software tester !

MS Windows Update is for officially released software, not Betas.

No sorry, you are not correct. Windows Update explicitly shows and allegedly
makes available optional Beta products to it's users.

Go to Windows Update, click on "Settings", click on "Advanced - Show Beta
Products and Pre-releases", then "Apply Changes."

Some of us are not afraid to test new products and supply feedback to
Microsoft for free. :-)

Thanks anyway. :-)

I hope this is where the beta feedback for msn messenger 7.0 beta is, ever
since I put it on my cam won't work on it, I have an intel pro webcam. my
other digital cams work on it, and my cam works in version 6.2, is there a
remedy for this?
