WU has an optional hardware driver update available for the Realtek
RTL8139/810X NIC that's integrated into my motherboard.

The NIC has always worked just fine. Is it a good idea to install
this update? Has anyone here tried it?

Hi there,

If your hardware works fine: leave it be working fine and never take driver
updates from windows update unless they are driver(s) for a microsoft
device, if not go to the manufacturers website that is IF an update is
NEEDED because the hardware is not working well.

Bese regards,
Michel Denie
