I wish to order 64-bit media for Vista. I'm at the ordermedia website
but it is unclear if 64-bit Vista is included with the 32-bit DVD (for
a price of $13 given a valid product key).

If I go ahead and order the 32-bit DVD will I be pleased to find that
it includes 64-bit setup or will I be disappointed. I have 64-bit
Windows 7 installed so installation of 64-bit Vista should be trivial.

Should I order the 32-bit media?

The fact that I need to come on line to ask this question says a lot
about the Microsoft employees who designed the site.

Bill Gates lost $1.7 billion today. I'm sure he is not pleased.

I guess I should have also asked if I can download 64-bit Vista and
avoid Postal hassles?

If you mean you are ordering the alternative media via
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvist...a/default.mspx
Then there are only 2 things you can order - 32-bit Vista on CD or the x64
DVD.

So how are you having a problem choosing the right one?, which is possibly a
reflection on you and not the Microsoft employees who designed a site which
clearly states

Congratulations on upgrading to Windows Vista.
The retail package product ships on DVD with 32-bit edition software, but
two forms of alternate media are available to help meet your specific
requirements:
32-bit CD
64-bit DVD

and no you cannot download the alternative media it is shipped to you.

Which version are you going to order? I know Ultimate (and maybe one
other) comes with the x64 but Home Premium does not so you have to order
an additional DVD for about $10 from the Microsoft site.
