If you mean you are ordering the alternative media via
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvist...a/default.mspx
Then there are only 2 things you can order - 32-bit Vista on CD or the x64
DVD.
So how are you having a problem choosing the right one?, which is possibly a
reflection on you and not the Microsoft employees who designed a site which
clearly states

The retail package product ships on DVD with 32-bit edition software, but
two forms of alternate media are available to help meet your specific
requirements:
32-bit CD
64-bit DVD
and no you cannot download the alternative media it is shipped to you.
