I'm lately noticing occasional, random off-topic posts seemingly cross-
posted in from other newsgroups, sometimes with replies or even whole
mini-flamewars. The topics range wildly over politics, entertainment, and
into being completely indescribable, but seem to avoid technical topics
(and, particularly, Windows Vista).
What's up with that?
They don't seem to be commercial spam, nor any conventional form of
trolling (indeed they attract few or no replies -- if this group had a
significant population and much native traffic that might be different).
It's weird. And it's also about the only traffic this group gets lately.
