Sorry for a slightly off-topic message.

When I try to download a PDF file, the following message appears:

The Adobe Acrobat Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF
files in a Web Browser.
Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try
again [OK]

While I am downloading the PDF, NO Adobe Acrobat Reader is rumming at
all!

Exiting the browser, restarting ot even rebooting the computer doen
not help.

My computer has 2GB RAM, Windows Vista SP1, Intel 2 GHz dual core CPU.

Any idea how I can fix this problem?

Thanks in advance,

kind regards from Amsterdam,

Rob.

Thanks, Dave.

In the meantime I had already reinstalled Acrobat Reader, which fixed
the problem. The problem seems to have been a not properly installed
new version. Don't know what caused it.
Now it runs beautifully.

Kind regards,

Rob.

Hi Rob

I would sugest you uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader and take look at a new PDF
reader, Adobe Reader was king in its day but now it becoming very bloated in
its size and I to had problems with it. I suggest you install Foxit reader
its smaller in size and loads pdf documents much faster. I won`t install
Adobe reader on any of my pc`s ever again and I am more than happy with
foxit reader.
