Why does it happen at comp-os-linux-advocacy?

It's the opposing forces face-off no matter how one looks at it.

The nonsence used to be at xp.general, but since Vista was
released it has moved here to vista.general. It's now fairly
civil at xp.general. When windows 7 is released it will
all move there. XP, the so called worst Windows ever
released has become the best Windows ever released,
now that Vista has received that title from its detractors.

Which will change again once Windows 7 is released. I bought Vista early last
year sometime and it sat on the shelf until 3 weeks or so. Got a 4GB upgrade
and thought what the hell and stuck the 64 bit version on. Haven't looked back
since.

it has absolutly nothing to do with windows operating system, and all to do
with being selfish non caring people who disrupt others lives with their
useless prattle, seeking attention.

Adding about 4 words/names to subject plonk and same to from plonk gets rid
of 99% of it. It changes occasionally, but as there's no intelligence
there, there's little real obfuscation. It's easy.

It's more than 4, but you've got the right idea.

The following subject filter in Agent takes care of most of the
obnoxious posts (the "|" works as the word "or"):

subject: ringmaster | ringmaster's | frank | frank's | psychiatrist |
psychiatrist's | ass | licker | lickers | licker's fanboy | fanboys |
fanboy's | albright | albright's | Alias | Alias's | fyi
