OT: What would you think?

What would you think if I invited you to my church?

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly White and Unapologetically
Christian... Our roots in the White religious experience and tradition are
deep, lasting and permanent. We are a European people, and remain "true to
our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has
superintended our pilgrimage through the days of religous persecution, the
days of colonialism, and the long night of minority oppression. It is God
who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a
people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through
cultural expression of a White worship service and ministries which address
the White Community.

Assuming that you belive in God, would you come and worship with us?

While I am not personally a worshipper of Vista, I do understand that this
practice brings many unexpected "benefits".

I wish you well in your observance of Vista.

So, I assume that you would not support Obama for President - seeing as his
church's mission statement reads "We are a congregation which is Unashamedly
Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious
experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African
people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the
cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the
days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It
is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address
injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust
in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries
which address the Black Community." (http://www.tucc.org/about.htm)

You see, that is where my little post was taken from - I only changed Black
to White and changed the days and nights to reflect supposed White trials
and tribulations instead of Black ones mentioned on their site.

So, tell me, "Bob", how could I be a racist and Obama not be one?

No. I'm firmly Presbyterian, grounded in Reformation theology. And I see
no fundamental difference if a person is white, black, red, purple or
green (or any other variant).

Because, in the U.S., "race" issues are /still/ not symmetrical.
