OTA Sync with Exchange GPRS

How do I get my WM6 device (an IPAQ 514) to Sync OTA with my exchange server
when I'm mobile?
Works fine when via Active Sync USB cable, but when I'm mobile Active Sync
won't sync, telling me my internet connection is not configured properly.
They seem to work fine for browsing the net etc via GPRS and I can get my
IMAP email fine so internet connections would seem to be OK...
Any help would be great...
