Hi everyone. I have a Sigma Tel HD Audo CODEC...I've gone though all the
troubleshooting tips and help topics to try and fix it. I Get no sound, the
volume options tell me there's no device, but Device Manager says all is
well. I've checked the compatibility and it's supposed to be fine. The PC has
not moved, and it worked fine until I installed Vista this afternoon. Any
suggestions would be great.

Hi Kev...thanks for the link! I was almost there! It doesn't seem to be the
right driver...
The card still isn't recognized past the device manager.

Kevin - Have you tried the restroom at the Chicago airport? I hear that
many republican senators visit that one. Just FYI. You are so close Just
FYI.

Hi Kari,

Did you use an upgrade version of Vista? If so, use the information in the
post 'Activation error Home UG over WinXP Prof', also in this newsgroup
(substitute your version of Vista where it says Home Premium). Before you do
this, you might like to save any important files to a writeable CD or DVD or,
if you have one, to an external hard drive. These can then be restored once
you have carried out the upgrade. Then go to the manufacturers website and
download and install the latest Vista driver from there (the version that you
have is probably the XP version and, as such, is incompatible with Vista).
