Outlook 2003/ActiveSync 4.1 deletes calendar entrees

Hi there.

Since one week I use my new ppc hp2790 with activesync 4.1 and outlook 2003.
I wrote something today in my ppc calender and sync this at the evening. The
entree was erased!! What happend??

The next thing is I cannot combine my desktop data with my ppc. I sync the
data at home and at work!

Please help..!!

I suggest you move back to WM2003 handheld as Active Sync 4.1 does not
resolve conflicts. If there is a conflict it can only overwrite data on the
handheld or on your PC so you end up loosing information on one of the
devices. Because of that big flaw I just returned a brand new WM5 Pocket PC
and started using WM2003 device again. I can't imagine why a new system is
worse than the old one. Also you can't sync by categories and Backup fetaure
was removed from AS4.1. What is going on MS ???

Hi,
Check the timeframe that you selected for the Calendar synchronization.
This is done in ActiveSync - Tools - Options. Then select the Calendar and
check the settings. The default is 2 weeks in the future if I recall right
so he future appoinments will only be on the desktop.

I lived through the many years of Palm, the transition to Windows CE, Pocket
PC (2002-2003) and now windows Mobile 5 ... which I intentionally gave them
more than 6 mos to work out some of the bugs ... and I'm still in a pinch.

I've been through several days of hell & BS ... I have a new Dell Axim x51v,
and I think I'll go back a step too ... Will Call Dell in the AM and see
what I can get with Pocket PC 2003 >>> Keep me posted please ... Many
