She should also check this (if she hasn't already):
Go to Control Panel > Default Programs and click the bottom link ("Set program
access and computer defaults") and approve the UAC prompt. Expand the Custom
section and under "Choose a default e-mail program", look to see if Outlook is
there.
Then go back to the "Set your default programs" link (top), highlight Outlook
and click the top green arrow at the bottom of the window to set Outlook (if it
is now
listed) to have all it's defaults. Click OK.

select Outlook. Hit Apply on the bottom and back out
