outlook 2007 keeps asking for password with remote mail

Under remote internet connection and Vista Business, Outlook 2007 keeps
asking for my password repeatedly and won't let me access the Exchange
server. Everything is OK when at work on the network and my smartphone syncs
with the server OK. Just can't get in from VIsta when I try to sync over the
internet. I found the article on NLTM and made that change to the Security
settings but that didn't fix it.

Thanks for the suggestion but if I login from my XP machine, I can operate
remotely just fine. I think my problem stems from VISTA.

The Exchange Server needs to be patched to work with Vista. Have your IT
Dept. do it.
