Outlook cannot connect to Exchange Server

We just cleaned up an ugly virus that infiltrated our registry files. When I
try to connect to open Outlook 2003 email, it does not connect to the server.
When I try to check my name in profiles, it cannot connect to server.

Connection and account are appearing on the exchange server but I cannot
connect.

I can ping the mail server but I cannot connect to email.

Has anyone had a similar problem?
