Outlook crashes on restart if AS4.1 is loaded

Hi, are MS aware of this?

If AS4.1 is loaded and the device docked, and you close Outlook (or it
crashes), upon reloading Outlook 2003 it crashes, requiring a reload, which
crashes... which crashes...

Only by removing the device from the dock, so AS goes offline, will Outlook
restart correctly.

This has been an issue since AS v3.x.

Thanks.

Hi,
What is the exact error message displayed? Do you have a firewall or VPN
software installed on the PC?

Here is the exact process and message:

1) Dock WM device (has happened with 3 different ones)
2) Have Outlook loaded
3) Close Outlook
4) Open Outlook
5) Error message appears:
Microsoft Office Outlook has encoutered a problem and needs to close.
AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 11.0.8000.0 AppStamp:43599e06
ModName: outlib.dll ModVer:11.0.8002.0 ModStamp:437304bc
fDebug:0 Offset: 003500ea

I have the standard Windows Firewall SP2 with all default settings and
ActiveSync ticked.

This has happened with every version of Outlook, ActiveSync and Windows
Mobile I have had. I always send the error report to MS, but nothing gets
fixed.

Thanks.

Hi,
Have you tried uninstalling ActiveSync and Outlook, and then reinstall
Outlook and then ActiveSync?
