Outlook express 6 Address book problems!!!!

Hi!
I'm pulling my hair out!
I've recently installed Sony Ericson mobile phone software which allows
synchronisation of PC & mobile phone address books. All has been well until
today, when I decided to tidy up my contacts email/phone numbers etc!
Now, whenever I open OE6 I get everything as normal until I attempt to open
my address book or attempt to respond/write an email when I get error
messages informing me that OE6 is "incorrectly configured, please reinstall",
and "The address book may not be installed correctly"
-- I've attempted to reinstall using my XP disc but nothing seems to have
changed!!!
Heeelp!!!!

Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (make sure the Show Updates box is
checked) > Scroll down to and uninstall "Security Update for Windows XP
(KB911567)" > Reboot.

Any better?
