outlook express 6 hungapp

Recently just checking e-mail my outlook express 6 stopped working. It
brings up the screen, the folders section and contacts section below and
stops. The error report states the appname is msimn.exe - version
6.0.2900.2180 - modename hungapp. Can't get it to do anything. No viruses
found. Any ideas or help to get it to respond again?
