Interesting comments. I found that KB823353 won't install until KB897715 is
installed. That's what this box that keeps popping up tells me. According to
Add/Remove programs, KB897715 is installed. But Windows Update keeps telling
me that KB897715 needs to be installed. So I tried removing it, download from
the catalog, installed it. Still have the problem. The link you quoted above
tells us that KB823353 should be installed instead of KB897715. I guess that
explains why the d/l for the OE update is an IE update? The file that I
downloaded from the OE update page is IE6.0sp1-KB823353-x86-ENU.exe.
Something is really screwed up here.
