Outlook Express forced to close

I have been living with this problem for almost a year now! My Outlook
Express is useless because it encounters a "problem" and forces me to close
it. My NetScape Mail is also useless. It actually crashes my computer and I
have to do a cold re-boot. I am currently stuck using netscape web mail. I
think I remember it happening after updating to Norton Internet security
2006. I am running XP with SP2.
I appreciate it if anyone has any ideas that dont include re-building my
whole system! Otherwise I will live with crappy web mail for however long I
own this computer.

Hi Tome, this doesn't appear to be a Windows Update issue, perhaps post to
the OE Newsgroup
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/e...&lang=en&cr=US

Re: Netscape --- if you know how to access NNTP news groups, you ought to check server named "secnews.netscape.com"
and newsgroup "netscape.netscape8.windows"

Otherwise, do a smart Google group search.

Try uninstalling Norton Internet Security to see if that cures your problem
with OE. If uninstalling cures your problem, then do not install Norton
again. Try some other vendor's anti-virus. If you have XP SP2, you have a
firewall built in to XP, and you have no great need for the firewall feature
of NIS.
