Outlook Express Imbedded Objects Error

I am using xp professional ... using outlook express 6.00.2800.1123

After installing some automatic updates I get the following error: When
inserting more than one instance of the same image in a new message and
sending it ... the first image imbeds perfectly but all other instances does
not ... they are displayed as empty boxed with crosses in them.

I did have this before after installing Outlook Express Q837009 ... removing
it stopped the problem ... but this has resurfaced again in another
hotfix/update somewhere.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem or which hotfix to uninstall?

Hi - This is an XP group; you will probably get a faster and more expert
answer if you post OE questions to Outlook Express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlooke xpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlook express for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.outlookexpress.mac for OE for Macintosh

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).

If you're accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services Community Newsgroups web interface, click
http://communities.microsoft.com/new...ternetExplorer
to get to the Internet Explorer groups, then click the plus sign next to
your version of IE to see the link to the Outlook Express group for that
version number.

A good website for information on OE is:
http://www.tomsterdam.com/

Want a capture tool? <eg>

Run... msinfo32 /category SystemSummary
Select Version
Press Ctrl-c
Paste somewhere

Or, slower but in command window enter:

systeminfo | find /i "version"

Also for this problem:

>> When inserting more than one instance of the same image in a new message and sending it ... the first image imbeds perfectly but
>> all other instances does not ... they are displayed as empty boxes
>> with crosses in them.

ask for (perhaps assuming OE is active):

Run... msinfo32 /category SWEnvLoadedModules
Select inetcomm.dll
Press Ctrl-c
Paste somewhere

Or, assuming SystemSummary is still showing from previous use:
Press Ctrl-f (unless the Find box is already showing); Toggle Alt-r on
Press Alt-w; Enter: loaded
Toggle Alt-r off; Toggle Alt-S on; Press Alt-w
Enter: inetcomm
Etc.
