I am a computer idiot and I do not know if the update has
anything to do with the Outlook problem but my Outlook
will not open at all anymore. The error says "Outlook has
encountered a problem and needs to close." etc. I do not
know how to look into this issue or correct it. Please,
if there is anyone out there that can help me fix this,
it would be greatly appreciated..

Thank you,
Brew

Well Brew:

Outlook is a breeding ground of worms and trojans. You may well be better
off without it. I'd look for a new email server no matter what. But yes,
sounds like SP2 ate it. And oh so many other things as well. I downloaded SP2
after much difficulty. It started eating my files, threatened me to only use
the MSN firewall, wouldn't let me connect to many services I use, etc. I
removed it using a System Restore. I hear it's disabled some folk's ability
to use the Restore feature as well!

My advice is get rid of SP2 and wait until MicroBrains fixes their newest fix!

Good Luck,

Dave in Vermont

Outlook and Outlook Express are not the same application. Be careful with
your shorthand as you risk getting incorrect advice which may damage your
system.
