Outlook paralyzed by the June updates

It happened in May (and I had to uninstall one of the updates). Now it has
happened again in June.

One or all of the updates has slowed Outlook to the point it can no longer
be used, unless I change Mail Format to text or rich text. Forget about HTML
format. It's been shut down by the updates. If I type a line while
composing a message, it takes about a minute for the words to appear. It's
like ghost writing. Literally.

What's up with this? Does anyone know which specific update is causing this
problem so I can delete it and get Outlook back to normal again?

Does Microsoft have any programmers left that know what they are doing?

I forgot to add: I am running XP with IE7.

This is ocurring both at home and at work on different PCs.

It's because you have a huge list of sites in the Internet Options list of
"Restricted Sites", usually because you have some third-party anti-malware
product installed.

I had that problem until I nuked IE7 and went back to IE6. You might
want to consider doing the same thing.

Seems the programmers have been replaced by accountants and lawyers.

It is not the fault of third party anti-malware programs but IE7. I had
the same problem and fixed it by nuking IE7. I didn't nuke Spybot,
Spywareblaster, Ad Aware or Spywareguard and now HTML is smooth as silk
in both OE and OL.

So, if you want Spy Bot, use IE6. If you want IE7, don't use Spy Bot.
