I have an iPaq with pocket pc 2003, and MS Office 2003. I'm trying to Active
Sync sub-folders for Contacts and Calendar with Outlook PCS.

On the Microsoft site, it states that Outlook PCS doesn't work with Office
2003
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=EN

Does anyone know when Outlook PCS might be ready for Office 2003?

thanks.

Hi,
Microsoft has not announced an upgrade for Outlook PCS. You may want to
e-mail and ask them to update it for 2003.

Hi Doug,

Out of curiosity... Have you tried installing Outlook PCS on your PC ? If
yes, could you provide the problem or error message you encounter during
installation.

Thanks.

No idea, but it has been reported that Outlook PCS will work with
Outlook 2003 if you had Outlook 2002 installed, had installed Outlook
PCS, then upgraded to Outlook 2003.

That's strange. I have been using it for a while and it works fine. Fresh
installation of Office 2K3. I don't like upgrading.

The doc did not say it will not work on Outlook 2K3. It is not listed,
probably means that it is not supported or tested in that for O2K3.

So far it has not mess up yet.

I haven't tried it, but apparently it spits back an error message if
you try and install it on Outlook 2003. Maybe you got lucky and for
some reason it thought you were running Outlook 2002.

I doubt it, I have installed it on 2 computers 4 times and never had any
issue...yet.

Maybe you should just try it since you it will stop the install if it does
not work.

I have found that if you add the following registry keys for Office 10,
Outlook PCS will install on a fresh copy of Outlook 2003 or Office 2003.
Paste the following into notepad, save as .reg file and import using
Registry Editor:
-------------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\10.0]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\10.0\ Common]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\10.0\ Common\InstallRoot]
"Path"="C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Office\\Office10\\"
