After using windows update to install SP2, my outlook RPC over HTTP no longer
works. This worked without issue under SP1. Here's a bit about my config...
I'm behind a firewall and have my proxy configured.
I've disabled the firewall and all it's settings.
When starting Outlook, it asks for my username and password, which I provide.
It then just spins and spins trying to contact the server.
I used ethereal to look at the packets and sure enough, it isn't even trying
to access the proxy server. Instead, it continues to query the DNS server for
the server entry, which it doesn't find.
I also started outlook using outlook.exe /rpcdebug (I think that's the debug
option) and it simply shows me that it is looking for the server...
I've tried using proxycfg -d and proxycfg -p to configure the proxy manually
and see if that helps. No luck.
Any tips on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm basically stuck.
Thanks.
