outlook won't open jpg files. says application not found

Recently, my outlook stopped being able to open jpg files. when I try to open
any picture attachments, the error message states that the "application not
found." for opening the file. What is the file opening application and how do
I get it back/reinstall it? Thanks.

How does your problem pertain to Windows Update?
