How does your question pertain to Windows Update, Mismo? Windows version?

I'm guessing here that you are attempting an Office update, and that Office
update is asking for the original installation CD-ROM, and it is looking for
the file "outret.msi".

The file "outret.msi" is the installer package for "Outlook Retail", which
is bundled with various activesync packages.

The answer is that you do need the original source CD-ROM at this point.
