After installing SP2 from the update site, overall system performance dropped
by a considerable amount. what used to take 3~4 seconds to load would now
take 10~15 seconds or more. Booting windows is now taking forever, i can
finish eating an apple before it even loads the background. IE explorer also
runs very slow!!! though mozilla and firefox do okay. I really don't know
where to start correcting this problem. everything's pretty up to date:
drivers, bios, program updates/patches. so far, the applications are all
working, but very slow compared to what i used to get. any help or
suggestions would be appreciated.
