Could someone explain what this term means exactly and how to perform
overwriting

overwrite means replacing a file with another with the same name so it will
take its place.
When you place a file with the same exact name as another in the same
directory,
then windows asks you if you want to repace the old file with the new.
If you say yes, you have done overwriting.

a person who does not know what overwrite is may not know where to post his
