I have P2V:ed an XP-Pro laptop which was syspreped.
Now when I start the new virtual machine it requires activation and I
figured I could use my MSDN key to do this, but it won't accept the
key. :-(

I tried Microsoft activation dial-in but after entering the 9 groups
of 6 digits the voice said that an error has occured and that I need
to change the key.
When I use the button to change key and enter the MSDN key it refuses
to accept it.

So what are my options now?

I don't think a OEM install will accept another key so I suspect you
may be out of luck. Maybe a repair install will work, but I've never
tried it.

I solved it. :-)
I got a person at the other location to note down and send med the key
codes fromn the laptop and when I used these the activation worked.
Afterwards I could log on just fine.
Case closed.
