P4P invalid argument encountered

good morning,
i've just bought a Asus G1S notebook, with W Vista Home Premium
preinstalled.
After i installed msn messenger 8.5 and skype, i get this error-popup
msg every 5mins (less or minus) saying :
P4P
An invalid argument was ecountered

i looked on the web , but i did not find anything to solve this error,
can anyone help me plz ?

One of the two programs you installed is giving you this problem. Check
with Skype and MSN. There have been various issues with Skype and Vista
- the Skype tech support people will know best about this. Or uninstall
both programs and reinstall them one at a time, testing after each
installation to see which of the two is the culprit.

thnx for ur answer,
i understood that P4P is this software that comes in bundle with my
nb : Power4Phone
that may connect to skype or modem to make phone calls,
i try to troubleshoot as you asked me, and let you know tho

Skype support says this message has nothing to do with Skype, and t
contact Microsoft . Can anyone help? What IS p4p and why is it there i
any case? I also keep getting this messag
