It was quite difficult to load from DVD to my Vista computer.
It only partly registers on the computer and thus
nags for repeat registerions.
And it repeatly nags me to upgrade a file and when
given permission it fails to properly upgrade the file
and then requires the computer to cycle down.
And afterwards the file is still not upgraded.
And the request cycle repeats.

I've never had a viruschecker this bad. Even Norton is
better than Panda.

I wonder if this company will send me my rebates on
this package?

Will it work for you? Maybe but my experience indicates
you should try something else first.

Install Windows OneCare, and you'll not have to
worry about those issues. You can try it FREE
for ninety (90) days. This is a brand new version
and is very robust! Uses very little system resources!
http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-us/default.htm

With the excellent Windows OneCare package, there is
no need to install a multitude of different security software.

OneCare includes:

-- An excellent antivirus application
-- An excellent firewall application
-- An excellent antispyware application
-- Automatic system tune-ups
-- Automatic hard drive defrag
-- Checks for updates to be sure they are installed
-- Schedules automatic backups of important files
-- New version 2.5 just released - designed to work
exceptionally well with Windows Vista & XP.
-- All-in-one convenient, easy to install application

Grisoft's AVG free version for home / personal use. Excellent reputation,
free [not 90 day trailware], no registration, no product key, works very
well.

I tried Panda, even paid for it. Uninstalled three days later and through
the efforts of my Credit Card company obtained a credit. Have used AVG Free
every since.

I considered it. After the rebate at Costco it wold have been 15
dollars plus about
8 percent of 50 dollars. I am currently using the Vista firewall and
have
just replaced Panda with AVAST home edition which is free.
Interestingly,
I noodled around and had AVAST on along with Panda. An Avast warned me
that Panda contained a worm!!! But Avast couldn't delete it due
to the Vista control on file deletion. It took putting in the
Panda DVD to get the program removed. It ask if I want to fix or
remove the program. Thankfully that worked.
I may load AVG at the drop of a hat given
that I've used its free version on my old win98 system in recent
times.

Some have claimed that Onecare has a better Firewall than what is
included
in Vista OS?

I guess I'll have to get a credit card. Panda is a truly sad piece of
software.
Thanks for the confirmation that others share a view similar to mine
on
Panda.

Avast did gather some information such my name and etc plus
they'll email product key ...I think. It still isn't in
my email box. So who knows perhaps I'll be back on AVG.
