Hey guys need some help! Not sure what broke, but my parent domain can no
longer ping its child domain.

If I ping (from any server including parent DCs) servername.child.parent.com
I get a response. I can even ping DC.child.parent.com.

But if I try to ping child.parent.com i get "could not find host
child.parent.com"

Of course there are KCC errors and other AD replications errors, I am sure
positive are related to the parent not being able to resolve to the child
domain.

I did a deligation of the child zone under my parent DNS zone, but doesn't
seem to be taking effect. I go through the deligation wizard, but the child
zone isn't greyed out like it is delegated out. I can see the child DC DNS
records.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Mike

Figured it out, I deleted the child domain zone and recreated a delgated zone
(again) which put the NS records back in. Not sure why it broke, but its
fixed now!
