Is the following statement true? "Parental Controls can only be applied to
standard user accounts. ...Parental Controls cannot be applied to an
Administrator user account." excerpted from:
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...8efc51033.mspx

An admin account does not need a password. My main admin acct has a password
but not the other users who now have admin status. When I'm in another user
profile it prompts for a password to the main account before proceeding.

even if you could they would be useless since anyone with admin
privileges could simply change Parental controls.

That's my point - can they change it so easily? Wouldn't there be a prompt
for a password from the admin that set it up (the real admin)? I'm not at
Vista right now but I'll try it later and see what happens.

An admin is an admin, and any admin can modify parental controls.

You are right. My problem is AVG does not update unless I change all regular
users to admin status. Otherwise, I have to log into the admin account and
then update. I had posted a separate thread under AVG but can't find it.
