Parter with Microsoft for 3rd party updates

Our company makes a popular imaging software for Windows. I would like to
distribute updates of my software thru Windows update (just as many other 3rd
party companeis do). Is there a formal program with Microsoft to do that?

Ask MS direct.
If by third party you mean drivers, then you will also note how many
reccommend NOT using winupdate for these. MS has supplied corrupt drivers,
version numbers on winupdate v.often bare no relationship to the manu.
