A partial fix, still need help

I noticed the error messages referenced in the thread below (major woes)
pertained toi mswsock.dll,wshtcpip.dll and winrnr.dll. I renamed all three
files and copied the replacement files from the dll cache folder. I know I
have connectivity, as spyware doctor updated itsel, but IE 6 and OE will not
connect to the net. Any thoughts?
