Does Partition Magic 8 work when installed in Vista?

When running from booted floppies?

Isn't that a bit outdated?

Lunch was nice;
Bloody tapir rectum and rattlesnake gumboil vinegar under no go flying
squirrel bowels accentuated by depleted live rat embryos and bobcat wart
topping, cooked in a congealing bucket chock full of rare cooked squash,
dull oddments of jerky and assortment of shark, pistachio nut juice, a
side of cockroach eyeballs and a few ounces of rancid egg juice.

Hi,

No, it does not work with a Vista volume, it is not compatible. Try an
alternate product such as terabyte's BootIT NG or Acronis' Disk Director,
both of which work well with Vista volumes.

You might try the GParted Live CD - chances are it will do what you need.

Would not trust any Linux partitioning as it does not fully support NTFS.

It should work.

My PM-7 works just fine when booted from floppies.
I usually use Acronis Disk Director but it is kinda brain-dead when it comes
to state of the art hardware. It fails to even see my RAID. Good 'ol PM-7
sees it just fine.

That's incorrect. Current linux kernels fully support ntfs.

Where is this documented?

I'd use GParted or Partition Magic on a clean disk, but not on one on which
is already installed.
