There seems to be no difference in awake from sleep and awake from
hibernate.
I want to enter a password after awake from hibernate, but not after
awake from sleep.
In the power settings I can not find a way to distinguish those two
situations.

I don't think you can do it. Since I'm the only one here who uses the
computer, I've done a simple one character password, so it's pretty simple
to just poke one key and hit enter.

I found a workaround which has the same result.
I entered a HDD password in the BIOS. Now I have to type in tha
password if the machine starts up from hibernate. Wakeup from slee
mode does not ask for a password

It can be found under the advanced settings of the power savings mode.
