Password Manager annoyance

I have had my new computer with Visat Premium for about a week now. I
loaded on Office XP with Outook 2002 onto the Vista unit and all works well
after I manually setup and manually imported my old files from the XP unit I
am retiring. However, after every reboot of the Vista unit, when I start up
Outlook 2002 and try to send/receive email for the first time of the day, a
dialog box comes up asking me to enter Network Password. Everytime the
password space is blank even though I had previous entered it and clicked
the save box. I have turned off UAC and I have also entered the password
under my User Account for this user for the mail servers involved, but this
dialog will not go away. I liked it better under XP.

Is there a work around so that this will stop popping up, or at least
remember my password?

I believe it's the mail account password it asks for, not the network...
This is a bug with Outlook 2002 on Vista.... no fix that I know of.
Outlook 2003 & newer work ok.

Yep, it is the mail account password that it is asking for. I should have
clarified it in my original post. However, is the bug with Outlook or with
Vista. This never happened with any of my XP installs. Isn't the password
manager part of Vista. Also, my email accounts inside of Outlook DO
maintain the password, but only after I turned OFF UAC!

You have to use Outlook 2003 or later.
