Password Migration

How are passwords handled in the below cases:
1.When target domain password policy is more complex than source domain
2.How are service accounts passwords handled? are they handled the same way
as normal users?

Hi kathy,

here is answer to your questions:

1. password policies are applied based on domain. one domain password policy
has nothing to with another domain password policy. If you logon to target
domain machine from a source domain, the target domain password policies
will be applied.

2. Service accounts passwords are also handle in the same way as users. mean
to say same domain password policy will be applied.
