past chats

How do I view a chat I had yesterday on messenger?

Hello, right click on the contact you chatted with and choose
view/message history.

Also make sure Message History is enabled, you can check if it is in
tools/options/messages/ and
Enable "Automatically keep a history of my conversations"

Nope. Not if you don't have some 3rd party plugin (Messenger Plus!) or
something installed that keeps own chat logs.

But the short answer is no.
