Paste and copy memory overload...

I paste and copy often...i fill up my memory to the point were new programs
wont open... it stops copying... and there is no room for in the mem for me
to save my work...it just started rescently..both on my laptop and on my home
pc my guess is from a windows auto update... whats the fix
