The automatic updates from Feb 13, about 8 or 9 of them, once installed
caused a problem.
I could not access the Internet, even if I tried IE7, or Firefox, or
Netscape browsers.
I read a suggestion to use Restore to a point prior to the installation and
then install one patch at a time.
I did that, after each install, I accessed the Internet without a problem.
When I installed the last patch, the failure to access the Internet came
back. During the one-at-the-time process, I created a restore point before
each update.
By going back to the point prior to the last update, the access came back.
Now I am afraid to install that last update.
The last update was "Windows Genuine Advantage Notification (KB905474).
Of course, Windows Update verified that my system is legit, otherwise I
would not have all the other patches updated.
Suggestions?
